Prior to becoming a practicing attorney in 1996, with only an idea, in his late twenties he started a medical company which he successfully grew over 20 years. Upon completion of his undergraduate business degree he tailored his craft of managing people and negotiating contracts through years of interfacing with accountants, bankers, lawyers and business executives. These acquired skills are his core foundation as a skilled negotiator and exceptional litigator, the very reason he is a successful divorce and trial attorney today.

Business and divorce are often synonymous, whether a business is part of the marital assets, just understanding tax returns, or the tax consequences of dividing marital assets; the knowledge he brings just does not come from having read about it.

Thomas is divorced, remarried, and has three children ranging in ages from seventeen to thirty three, along with two grandchildren. As a divorced and experienced parent, he understands and is extremely sensitive to the needs of children of divorcing parents.
He understands the dynamics of a parenting plan, along with balancing the need for support for children’s schooling, healthcare, and basic food and clothing, with the economic effects that child support and alimony can have on parents’ financial resources.

He focuses his practice in the area of Family Law having represented hundreds of clients in divorce, support and custody issues. He is a certified Court conciliator, and when called upon by the Courts, assists divorcing couples and their lawyers to be able to come to a fair and reasonable conclusion of their case.

In addition to Family Law, he is a successful trial attorney, having tried numerous divorce cases before judges, business and personal matters cases in Superior Court before juries, as well as arguing before the Appeals Court.
